Most of the levels are set along a flat plane, but boss fights often break into the third dimension. Coupled with the narration, the art and effects really bring the storybook feel to the center of the stage.
One level has you jumping across falling leaves and dangling spiders. Marching toy soldiers are twice as tall as Mickey, and jack-in-the-box heads are suitable springboards. The art style also uses scale to convey a sense of place. The levels from the original game, including the forest, the library, and the toy land, are gorgeously visualized. Speaking of exploration, the art looks so great you'll want to stray off the main path just to see it all. It serves this purpose well, but the minimal difficulty and dearth of levels ensure you'll finish the game in only a few hours. Castle of Illusion instead offers a slower, trial-and-error type of gameplay in service of collection and exploration. Some platformers are about instantaneous repetition and twitch corrections. If you fail, the enemy respawns quickly, meaning you won't have to keep restarting the level to make progress or discover all the collectible games, cards, or peppers. Some areas can be accessed only by bouncing off an enemy's head. Because of this, Castle of Illusion is rarely a difficult game. Mickey's animations, as well as the movements of his enemies, are slow and deliberate. Jumping and bouncing are your primary methods of interacting with this world. The narrator comments on Mickey's various troubles, and his theatrical voice is enjoyable and may remind you of kindergarten story time-but it's difficult to substantially enrich a story as thin as tissue paper. While it makes sense to use the original plot as the blueprint of a remake, it's too bad it doesn't reach the heights of the newly added narration. You must-you guessed it-find your courage and save the helpless damsel before it's too late. Untested by myself but Daeryoon may have given some useful information.įor Wave 3, you can stand directly in front of the column at 3 o'clock and avoid the swirling ghosts completely until she finishes her chant and they swirl back ("possess this space" is your queue), then simply jump over the final swirl to lose no life going into Wave 4.ĭaeryoon And for Wave 5 you can stay at the 9 o'clock position on the outer ring and jump straight up as the ghosts come by and completely avoid them.After bouncing on ghosts in a dark forest, you suddenly find yourself soaring above the clouds. Hope you guys like the solution i know its not perfect but hey i hope it helps for the boss and besides the other solution covers the collectibles along the way for 100% (also not my youtube as im not as skillful as this guy but he has good examples of where to stand at what point) The youtube below will demonstrate the best way to climb the tower for all 5 stars and show exactly what the boss has to offer I struggled with this boss and using this method made it alot easier Wave 6 first part is the same as wave 2 then it goes the same as wave 3 + 4 and you can allow 2 life lost which means a total of 4 life lost and 1 life left. Wave 5 jump in and out of circle similar to wave 1 but rotates (no life lost) Wave 4 run around miserebel 2 times and the ghosts will stop shooting (no life lost) Wave 3 try your hardest to avoid the ghosts as they spin round (i would allow 2 life to be lost) Wave 2 follow the lazor (walk around misrebels platform once) also don't loose a life Wave 1 ghosts move in and out really easy (do not loose any life)
CASTLE OF ILLUSION STARRING MICKEY MOUSE BOSS FULL
Simply i kept on dying alot but what helped me was when climbing the tower it is possible to get full life and if you die once fighting the end boss you will re-spawn with full life again which i found essential to beating misrebel. I never write solutions but i thought i could help with a few things towards the end boss.
